P2P Peer 2 Peer Advisory Programme
P2P is an initiative I started in 2014 in conjunction with Callaghan Innovation. A facilitator convenes a monthly meeting of four startup CEOs and one advisor who acts as independent director.
![]() Sadly at the end of 2017 this program was terminated. However, not without contributing to considerable success amongst the participants.

Advisory Boards

MyHub Intranet Solutions Advisory Board
Cofounders Steve and Mike have organically grown this business that is servicing SMEs around the globe. They are receiving acquisition interest, have growth ambitions and scaling pains. To strengthen their governance and development of strategy they formed an advisory board in 2018. I am one of three on this AB. |

Geo AR Games Advisory Board
Mel and Amie built Magical Park, an AR game to get kids off the couch and play outdoors. I first met them when they pitched to FKA after Lightning Lab XX in 2016. Their focus on councils was a turn-off for investors. However, I liked them and their idea and we stayed in touch. They have powered on and signed more than ten NZ councils before the end of the year and also a first distributor for the UK and US who is making new sales to restaurants chains. Mel and Amie parted ways amicably in 2018. Since late 2018 I am a director and shareholder of the company. |

Equitise Advisory Board
I met Chris and Jonny in August of 2014 at ADI.Clinic. They had just arrived in NZ to build a crowd funding platform ahead of legislative changes in Australia. At first they took my candour to be hostility towards a likely competitor. However, their views soon changed and then they have taken much of my advice on board. We have worked together to leverage synergies for angel groups and crowd founders. Will joned the team to run the NZ operation when Chris and Jonny returned to Sydney. The NZ advisory board meetings ran in the week before the Statutory Board meetings in Australia. The company is now focused on Australia and Singapore. My involvement ceased at the end of 2017. |
