Every fourth Tuesday of the month Flying Kiwi Angels have a pitch night which is generously hosted by the motley crew at KPMG Enterprise. They are working with FKA to bring relevant services and support to the startup ecosystem.
Trixie Mueller-Leiendecker found her advice session at ADI.Clinic very useful and so we agreed that she would bring some of her awesome frozen cocktail lollies from swips.co.nz as an ice breaker so to speak. Then network with FKAngels to help find her a suitable business partner.
Brian Karlson pitched for ND$1,000,000 to accelerated Transfercar and Transfervans which are combined in a holding company. Transfercar is already cashflow positive and Transfervans has good traction and is very scalable.
Bill was not surprised that FKA do NOT charge 6% commission to startups on funds raised. However, he was very surprised that most other organised seed stage investors in NZ do.
